Fairplay NB668/669
For the new Fairplay ships NB668 & NB669 we have delivered the alarm system, exhaust gas average value system and the power management system. Both have been built by the Fairplay Schleppdampfschiffs-Reederei Richard Borchard GmbH Company on the dockyard Astilleros Armon in Navia, Spain. Together with the Bureau Veritas the systems has been tested and successfully inspected.
Altogether four 15" and four 5.7" touch panels have been installed on the tug boat. Therefore it is possible to keep an eye on the status of the engine monitoring system on all decks. The power management system in the form of SYMAP ECG devices is integrated into the main control panel. It manages the two main engines, the emergency engine, the three generator switches, the section switch between the main and emergency bar and the shore connection. The alarm cabinet, being the heart of the system, includes the PLC-Control and links all alarm points centrally in the ECR.
The touch panels work as an HMI and provide the crew with all the necessary information for the ship’s safe administration. The system processes 224 digital and 72 analog alarms, which are displayed on diverse screens. Next to the typical alarm screen with the event history, there are separate screens for the exhaust gas average value system of each 12 cylinder V-engine. All important information of the respective system is displayed on the generator overview and on the auxiliary engine screen. These will be read out via Modbus from the specific engines.
